Meet the Team

Co-Owner & Clinical Supervisor
Rachel Herr, M.A., LPCC
I believe in a holistic approach to health and healing. Through an integration of several theories and ideologies, I work with individuals, couples and any constellation of family members, specializing in relational therapy.
The person we are today has much to do with the relationships we've experienced throughout the course of our lives. Each person has a unique story to tell and that story is a critical component of who we are and guides who we become. My goal is to create a safe space with the right conditions for change where each client or relationship is able to increase awareness and find a lasting impact.
There can be many underlying causes of mental, emotional, and psychological symptoms. Through the relationships built, my goal is to help you increase life satisfaction and overall wellness.

Co-Owner, PsyD & Neuropsychologist
Caileigh Peters
I understand life can happen to us, without warning, and without consent. While the ability to choose has been stripped from those experiences, I firmly believe we have a choice in how we respond to them. As such, I offer individual psychotherapy and believe the key to effective therapy is the relationship built between client and therapist. It’s not easy to ask for help, and in recognizing that, I strive to offer a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental environment to foster healing. I work collaboratively to cultivate an atmosphere of curiosity and further deepen client’s understanding of the experiences that have guided their lives; some of which continue to cause distress and contribute to life feeling intolerable at times. I work with a breadth of issues, including co-occurring addiction and mental health issues, and I make every effort to tailor evidence-based treatments to fit the individual needs of each client. I incorporate all aspects of a person’s being - emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and cultural - using an integrated approach to therapy that draws from relational, psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and person-centered theories.
Additionally, I provide comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment services specializing in adult and geriatric populations with a particular interest in neurodegenerative disorders. Having served in the field of psychology for over a decade, I have a long history of providing individual psychotherapy in a highly relational fashion, which is integrated into my approach for assessment. The mutual end goal for assessment is most often to provide as much clarity and insight into an individual’s strengths, behaviors, condition, etc. emphasizing tailored treatment recommendations to assist people on how to best move forward with next steps.

I began my career as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor working in both outpatient and residential chemical dependency treatment centers nearly 15 years ago. I completed my Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2021 and further specialized in Neuropsychology through a 2-year fellowship, of which I completed in 2023. I have experience with neuropsychological, psychological, and therapeutic assessments as well as therapeutic services in a Veterans Affair health care system, outpatient and inpatient co-occurring treatment facilities, group private practice, and a college counseling center.

I believe healing and change occurs in the context of a safe therapeutic relationship, and I prioritize cultivating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and included. I am passionate about envisioning and co-creating a psychotherapy accessible to all individuals and communities, particularly those who have historically been excluded from mental health theories and practices (e.g., LGBTQIA+; BIPOC communities).
With specialization in adult and adolescent anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, relational and couples’ concerns, grief, and addiction, I strive to help clients meet their goals while reconnecting to their strengths, values, and innate resilience. My therapeutic orientation is first and foremost humanistic, collaborative, and client-centered: while I have training and expertise in therapeutic interventions and theories, my clients are the experts on their lives and experiences. I intentionally integrate relational, psychodynamic theories and third-wave cognitive approaches—facilitating, for example, a mindful awareness of thoughts, emotions, and sensations in the here-and-now while remaining curious about how past relational and formative experiences contribute to present day functioning.
In the realm of psychological and neuropsychological assessments, I work with adults and adolescents to provide thorough and compassionate evaluation for a range of conditions--including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning issues, neurodegenerative disorders, and others. Like my approach to psychotherapy, my assessment approach is collaborative, supportive, and person-centered, focusing on presenting complex information in an accessible way and empowering clients towards personal growth, self understanding, and improved functioning.
I received my PhD in Counseling Psychology from Purdue University in 2024. I have received training and supervision in acute inpatient settings, private practice, addiction treatment, community mental health, university counseling, and a state hospital system. I have been and continue to be involved in research on equity and inclusivity in education and psychology, and have also taught courses at the university level.

Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of life—but they can also be one of the
most challenging. I specialize in working with couples and partners who want to deepen
connection, navigate conflict more effectively, and build relationships grounded in trust,
emotional safety, and mutual understanding. I work with couples across a range of relationship
structures, including monogamous and polyamorous partnerships, and strive to create a space
where all relationship identities are respected and supported.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and relational, drawing from Psychodynamic
Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
(ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
skills to support emotional regulation, communication, and navigating difficult moments with
greater awareness and intention.
In couples therapy, I focus on helping partners understand and shift reactive patterns, improve
communication, and repair after conflict so they can foster deeper emotional intimacy. My goal
is to create a balanced, non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard and understood
while we work collaboratively to strengthen the relationship.
With over a decade of experience in community mental health, I bring a compassionate and
collaborative approach to therapy. Whether you’re navigating recurring conflict, rebuilding trust,
or seeking greater connection, therapy can offer a space for clarity, growth, and meaningful
change.

Above all I believe in the power of connection and community. In a culture that pushes us towards self-sufficiency and independence, we can forget there is nothing wrong with needing or seeking help. I believe it is a sign of strength and resilience to take that step.
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, seen, and accepted with whatever you are facing in life. Though I am currently focused on training in psychological assessment, it is my priority to create a warm, comfortable, and affirming space where you feel safe to be yourself. I feel passionately about social justice issues, and do my best to ground my training and work in values that align with antiracism, humility, and curiosity. Together we will build a better understanding of who you are and develop strategies to improve your functioning and overall well-being.

Shame is a skilled liar, and it can falsely convince us that we're better off facing our struggles alone. But it’s everyone’s first time being a human, and no one has it all figured out!

I am passionate about working with folks whose voices are all too often silenced: justice-involved, adjusting to life after incarceration, navigating addictive or compulsive behavior patterns, feeling disconnected from their authentic selves, seeking personal meaning in life, or recovering after religious, domestic, or sexual abuse, harm, or trauma. You deserve to be affirmed and supported on the courageous path of healing and self-discovery.

Therapy with me is collaborative and grounded in compassion, empathy, and curiosity. I offer an inclusive environment in which clients experience me as warm, authentic, and humorous when appropriate. My approach is person-centered with elements of narrative, feminist, existential, cognitive-behavioral, and dialectical-behavioral therapies.

Finding the right therapist can be an overwhelming and vulnerable process. You are the expert on yourself and your needs, and you deserve a therapist who honors that expertise. I invite you to reach out and schedule a 15-minute consultation to explore how we can work together to make the changes you desire. I look forward to hearing from you!

The courage to seek a therapist is huge, and I honor that by creating a space you feel seen, heard, and understood. I believe that with the right support, everyone can overcome challenges. I approach counseling with intention, adapting to what you need at the moment. I can be warm
and direct, and I believe in the power of humor when it’s appropriate. My goal is to help you work toward living your best life, at your own pace. Together, we’ll explore your inner world, gaining a deeper understanding of the different parts of yourself and helping you better recognize
and understand your emotions.
My approach is person-centered and being journey oriented, meaning I believe in meeting you where you are and supporting you every step of the way. I am particularly interested in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy.
I have a strong background working with individuals and families, and I’m passionate about helping people show up as their authentic selves.

I believe that therapy offers an opportunity to discover and nurture the unique conditions that you need to grow. Feeling seen and heard without judgement is important, and taking time to courageously explore your inner world can be a powerful step towards building a richer life. In
therapy, I hope to help you connect with your instincts, strengthen your relationship with yourself and others, discover what makes your life feel meaningful, and solidify your sense of self-acceptance and belonging in the world.
Drawing primarily from psychodynamic and humanistic theories, I believe that an attuned and caring therapeutic relationship is foundational to the work of therapy. Together, we can explore
how your past may be shaping your current experience of life and take time to sort out the perspectives that feel congruent with who you are today. I also appreciate the potency of the present moment and will help you explore reactions, emotions, and relational patterns as they
arise in real time. I believe that growth can unfold naturally when we take time to understand who we are, engage our whole selves, and more fully inhabit the present moment.
Values that I bring to my work include curiosity, empathy, creativity, and an open mind. Having studied literature as an undergrad, I enjoy working with stories, metaphors, dreams, and patterns. Making the choice to confront painful topics can be quite challenging at times, and more than anything I strive to create a space where you can feel accepted along the way.
*Elizabeth is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Counseling & Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and is working under the licensed supervision of Rachel Herr, MA, LPCC.

Life can be loud, chaotic, and overwhelming. Something powerful happens when we slow down enough to get quiet. My work is rooted in creating that stillness: a calm, grounding space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and unhurried. Within that quiet, you have room to look honestly at everything that has shaped you. The relationships we carry, the communities we belong to, the beliefs and experiences woven into who we
are; all of it belongs here.
Together, we'll explore the many layers of who you are and how you came to be. I'm drawn to looking closely at the forces that have influenced you, not to place blame or dwell in the past, but to understand how they live in you today and what might be ready to shift. I take a holistic and integrative approach grounded in humanistic and narrative principles, tailored to each person I work with. I focus on strengthening your relationship with yourself as the foundation of healing, reconnecting you with your inner wisdom and intuition, and challenging the narratives that may no longer be serving you.
I work with adults of all ages navigating depression, life transitions, anxiety, grief, and
the everyday weight of a demanding world. I believe the part of you that is ready to grow
brought you here. Something in you already knows the way forward, even if it doesn't
feel that way yet. The path often begins with feeling less alone in where you are right
now. The goal isn't to become someone new. It is to help you come home to who you
already are.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, but it can also be an opportunity to work through life’s
challenges without judgement. My goal is to create a welcoming and judgement-free space for
clients to work though struggles and talk about the hard questions. I aim to make therapy
collaborative and focused on the goals you create for yourself.
My approach to therapy is person-centered and solution-focused to move you closer to achieving
your goals and creating the life you want for yourself. It is important to me to support a client’s
autonomy, choice, and empowerment. I want to ensure you feel heard and supportive, and I look
forward to meeting you where you’re at on your journey.
