I believe in a holistic approach to health and healing. Through an integration of several theories and ideologies, I work with individuals, couples and any constellation of family members, specializing in relational therapy.
The person we are today has much to do with the relationships we've experienced throughout the course of our lives. Each person has a unique story to tell and that story is a critical component of who we are and guides who we become. My goal is to create a safe space with the right conditions for change where each client or relationship is able to increase awareness and find a lasting impact.
There can be many underlying causes of mental, emotional, and psychological symptoms. Through the relationships built, my goal is to help you increase life satisfaction and overall wellness.

I understand life can happen to us, without warning, and without consent. While the ability to choose has been stripped from those experiences, I firmly believe we have a choice in how we respond to them. As such, I offer individual psychotherapy and believe the key to effective therapy is the relationship built between client and therapist. It’s not easy to ask for help, and in recognizing that, I strive to offer a safe, empathic, and non-judgmental environment to foster healing. I work collaboratively to cultivate an atmosphere of curiosity and further deepen client’s understanding of the experiences that have guided their lives; some of which continue to cause distress and contribute to life feeling intolerable at times. I work with a breadth of issues, including co-occurring addiction and mental health issues, and I make every effort to tailor evidence-based treatments to fit the individual needs of each client. I incorporate all aspects of a person’s being - emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and cultural - using an integrated approach to therapy that draws from relational, psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and person-centered theories.
Additionally, I provide comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessment services specializing in adult and geriatric populations with a particular interest in neurodegenerative disorders. Having served in the field of psychology for over a decade, I have a long history of providing individual psychotherapy in a highly relational fashion, which is integrated into my approach for assessment. The mutual end goal for assessment is most often to provide as much clarity and insight into an individual’s strengths, behaviors, condition, etc. emphasizing tailored treatment recommendations to assist people on how to best move forward with next steps.

I began my career as a licensed alcohol and drug counselor working in both outpatient and residential chemical dependency treatment centers nearly 15 years ago. I completed my Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2021 and further specialized in Neuropsychology through a 2-year fellowship, of which I completed in 2023. I have experience with neuropsychological, psychological, and therapeutic assessments as well as therapeutic services in a Veterans Affair health care system, outpatient and inpatient co-occurring treatment facilities, group private practice, and a college counseling center.

My clinical interests are currently within the realms of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance/Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I have experience in utilizing Dialectic Behavior Training (DBT) approaches and continue to study and implement DBT. I am interested in providing group therapy, couples’ therapy, and individual therapy.
I obtained my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bemidji State University and have been working in the field of mental health and social work for almost a decade. I have experience in providing a variety of mental health services and overseeing various transitional housing and supported-living programs in St. Paul and Minneapolis. I have provided Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), Vocational Rehabilitative Services (VRS), Individualized Living Skills (ILS), among others. I believe in the efficacy of holistic approaches to physical and mental well-being. This involves a therapist tailoring their approach to meet each individual’s needs and preferences, through integration of different types of therapeutic approaches.
Additionally, my interest and study of neuroscience has led me to emphasize the interaction between physical and mental health, in the work I do. I am passionate about providing therapy that is multiculturally-sensitive and am always seeking to broaden my knowledge and expertise in that. My experience has highlighted the importance of providing person-centered planning and support, which involves consideration of the wishes/needs of the client first, and that continues to be a theme in my work.

It’s everyone’s very first time being a human, and none of us have it all figured out. If you’re feeling stuck, anxious, lost, or ashamed, you’re having a human experience. That doesn’t mean you’re navigating life any worse than anyone else. Your struggles may shape your story, but they don’t get to write the whole thing. You are more than what you’ve been through, and your self-worth is inherent, not earned.
As a therapist, my goal is to offer a warm, authentic, trusting space where you can safely share your story. Together, we will revisit the hard chapters with self-compassion, identify the strengths that have carried you through, and explore the changes you want to make as you begin the next chapter. You are the expert on yourself and the author of your story; think of me as an empathetic editor who will help you see your story in a way that feels meaningful to you.
Therapy with me is a collaborative experience, grounded in genuine connection, humility, curiosity, and empathy—with humor sprinkled in when appropriate. My integrative approach combines feminist, narrative, person-centered, relational, and trauma-informed perspectives with elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. As a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, I take a harm-reduction approach to substance use treatment. I am committed to challenging systemic barriers, supporting clients experiencing marginalization, and cultivating an inclusive environment where all identities and experiences are honored.
“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” – Maya Angelou
Your story is yours to tell, and therapy is where you can share even the messiest drafts without judgment. You are not defined by your hard chapters, but they can remind you of this truth: you can do hard things. Your next chapter is waiting, and I’m honored to help you write it.
